Summer’s Symphony

36″ x 36″ $1850.00

My favourite destination on a hike is an alpine meadow. In 2020 we had the pleasure of joining in on a hike to Cameron Ridge, which overlooks the Penfold Creek and Mitchell River running into the North Arm of Quesnel Lake. Even though we were hiking in the second week of August, there were still plenty of wildflowers blooming. I couldn’t resist taking several photos of the gorgeous scene before me, knowing at some point I would be painting the meandering paths of the running water as they curved and snaked their way to the lake, further enhanced with the foreground colours of the summer alpine meadow. A feast for the eyes and music for my soul.

Summer’s Symphony was juried into the 2026 Online Federation Showcase with the Federation of Canadian Artists. It was also exhibited at the Quesnel Art Gallery in 2024 in Five Explore the Cariboo.
