After being a runner for a number of years, I traded in my running shoes for hiking boots. This has provided an opportunity to take far too many pictures everywhere I hike! My husband and I often look for a trail or two when travelling but there is also an abundance of inspiration in our local trails.
Several afternoons a week and mornings on the weekend we can be found on the Wonderland trail network. Afternoon sunsets in the shoulder seasons are second only to the morning sun peaking through the trees year-round. Light bouncing off trees, moss and fresh snow never fails to delight.
When Sunday Morning Shines will be on exhibition at the Quesnel Art Gallery from August 1 to August 29, 2024 in the Five Explore the Cariboo Group Show.
