Along the Shoreline has been accepted into the Federation of Canadian Artists’ 2026 Abstracted Exhibition. The exhibition runs from May 5 to 24, 2026 and will be available for purchase through federationgallery.com or in person at 1241 Cartwright Street on Granville Island.
I have always loved the ocean. My grandparents lived in Victoria when I was a child and spring and summer visits were not complete until we had spent a day or two at the ocean. Exploring tide pools was a favourite adventure, easily consuming an entire afternoon. I recall several outings digging for clams with my grandpa, bucket in one hand, spade in the other, and everyone wearing rubber boots to save our shoes from being claimed by the wet sand! Now my preferred footwear is none at all. I could and have spent hours and hours walking the shoreline when the tide is out to see the treasures the water has left behind.
