I first learned of Little Niagara Falls after viewing a snapchat from my son-in-law in 2020 and have had a desire to see it with my own eyes ever since. The headwater for the falls originates on Niagara Peak and thunders down Niagara Creek into the East Arm of Quesnel Lake and is only accessible by boat or aircraft.

I completed Maybe This Year in March of 2024 but was unsure as to whether or not I should include it in the show as I had not actually been there in person. On Canada Day weekend we found ourselves camped at Elysia Resort on Quesnel Lake and I had the good fortune to see these beautiful falls in person! Thankfully we were dressed in full rain gear as it was a rainy day. The spray coming off of the falls from our abundantly glorious June rains was fierce and our raingear was soaked in seconds!

Maybe This Year will be on exhibition at the Quesnel Art Gallery from August 1 to August 29, 2024 in the Five Explore Our Cariboo Group Show.
