While enjoying the weather of an Indian summer in 2012, we made our way along the North Cascades Highway in Washington. The Cutthroat Lake Trail was recommended to us by a very friendly artist in the Winthrop Gallery. The trail was every bit as beautiful as she said it would be. The colours of autumn only served to enhance views of the forest, meadows, and mountains contributing to a perfect day!
