One fine summer’s day I couldn’t help but admire the poplar trees that lined the side of Johnson Road in Quesnel while out for a drive. I decided to take some pictures for future reference material. In the middle of one of our winter cold snaps, it seemed like the opportune time to daydream about, and paint, the scene from a summer’s day! I loved this particular little grouping of trees and the way they were layered at the side of the road. Living in the Cariboo, I am so fortunate to have all of this beauty in my own backyard.
